Carradale
– A nine hole course which looks over the Kilbrannan Sound to the
Island of Arran. Twenty-five percent discount for guests staying at the

Fishing
The hotel has a fishing permit for guests to fish on the Carradale
River (Salmon and Sea Trout) from the 1 June - 31 October.
Licences for fishing from McGrory’s shop in Campbeltown.

Yachting
Carradale
has a small sheltered harbour used by local fishing boats. Yachts have

Walking
The Kintyre Way, launching in August 2006 and stretching from Tarbert
to Southend, the way marked Kintyre Way criss - crosses the Kintyre
peninsula, connecting communities and landscape, people and produce.
With 4 to 7 days worth of walking, 89 miles long in total there are all
levels of walking.

are a number of walks in the Forestry Commission guide to Carradale and
East Kintyre (available from the tourist office) ranging from forty
minutes to three hours.

Cnoc-nan
Gabhor has amazing views across the Kilbrannan Sound and down Kintyre
peninsula. Overlooking Carradale Bay from the west, is Beinn an Tuirc
or ‘Mountain of the Boar’ being the highest point in Kintyre.
Bird Watching
Carradale Forest, Carradale
Golden Eagles, Hen Harriesr, Black Grouse, Red Grouse, Eider Ducks,
Tawny Owls, Goldcrest, Redpoll and Siskins are some of the birds found
in the area.
Carradale Pier
Excellent sea watching viewpoint
Fulmar, Manx Shearwater, Gannet, Shag, Razorbill, Black Guillemont and Puffin.

Forestry tracks are open in Carradale.
The National Cycle Network route 73 runs from Campbeltown to Clonaig and on to Arran.
